The Northern Studios is the only large-scale commercial television and film studio complex in the North East.

The Northern Studios is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Northern School of Art – on the board of directors we have representation from the project funder, local council, and an independent director from the screen industry.

The funding for The Northern Studios was generously provided by the Tees Valley Combined Authority & the Office of the Tees Valley Mayor, HM Government, The Northern School of Art and Hartlepool Borough Council
